          Thiru.S.Devarajan born in Salem in 1949, is a scion from the family of Industrialists. As a true chip of the old block, Thiru.S.Devarajan, after his graduation, has developed, over years, into a leading light in the Textile Industry at Salem. He is the Chairman and Managing Director of Sambandam Spinning Mills Limited, a listed Public Limited Company in Salem.



          A person of versatile knowledge and endowed with foresight and imagination, he has been instrumental in bringing into existence, the S.Palaniandi Mudaliar Memorial Hospital, five storeyed 100 bedded Multi Speciality Hospital, endowed with modern facilities and latest equipments. He is the Chief Executive of the Hospital running it with great zeal and devotion. He is a person dedicated to social service and has taken keen interest in public activities. He is the Past President of the Rotary Club of Salem Mid-Town, Salem. He has an ardent desire to give efficient and quality education to the youth. He is the Correspondent of The Salem Polytechnic College, Sengunthar Matriculation Higher Secondary School, The Salem polytechnic Industrial Traning Institute in Salem. He is the Chairman, Managing Committee of Government Women I.T.I., Salem, under Government of India, Public Private Partnership Scheme. He has also taken initiative to usher in an Institution to help the Mentally Challenged Children and he has been the Trustee of SIMEC (Salem Institute for Mentally Challenged) from its inception in 2000. He is Past Chairman of Confederation of Indian Industry, Salem District Council.

          Happily married, he has a son, a Diplomate in Textile Technology, working shoulder to shoulder with him. He has also two daughters, both of them married.
